Joey Odom is a keynote speaker who helps leaders, families, and teams develop the superpower of presence to build stronger trust, connections, and focus in a distracted world. He is a co-founder of Aro, a first-of-its-kind technology company that created a software and hardware solution to combat screen time and build presence. Over seven years Aro helped tens of thousands of families reclaim millions of intentional screen-free hours. Joey speaks at churches, conferences, universities, and corporate events, including Liberty University Convocation, Breakaway at Texas A&M, and the Thrive Leaders Conference. A graduate of Oral Roberts University and former top-producing commercial real estate executive, Joey also hosted The Aro Podcast, a top 1% global show. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, with his wife, Cristin, and their teenagers, Harrison (17) and Gianna (16).
Clare Morell is a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) in the Bioethics, Technology and Human Flourishing Program. Prior to joining EPPC, Clare worked in both the White House Counsel’s Office and the Department of Justice, as well as in the private and nonprofit sectors. She is also author of the book The Tech Exit: A Practical Guide to Freeing Kids and Teens from Smartphones, published by Penguin Random House. Clare has had opinion pieces published in numerous outlets, like the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Fox News, Bloomberg News, The New York Post, Newsweek, and more. She has testified before Congress, and her policy work has been featured in The New York Times. Clare lives with her husband, Caleb, who is a pastor, and their three children on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Chinwé Williams is a nationally recognized speaker, clinician, former university professor, and author. She is a licensed and board-certified therapist specializing in anxiety management, trauma recovery, child and adolescent development, and women’s wellness and the owner of Meaningful Solutions Counseling and Consulting. With a career spanning corporate, school, and faith-based settings, she brings a dynamic and compassionate approach to mental health. Dr. Williams is the co-author of the best-selling book Seen: Healing Despair and Anxiety in Kids and Teens Through the Power of Connection, Beyond the Spiral: Why You Shouldn’t Believe Everything Anxiety Tells You, and the newly released book, Calm, Courageous, and Connected. Outside of her professional achievements, Dr. Williams is a wife and the proud mother of three wonderful children.
Sissy Goff is the Executive Director of Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee, where she works alongside her puppy counseling assistant-in-training, Patches the Havanese. Since 1993, she has been helping girls and their parents find confidence in who they are and hope in who God is making them to be. Sissy is a sought-after speaker for parenting events across the country and is a frequent guest on media outlets including CNN, Good Morning America, Inside Edition, NBC Nightly News, and Christianity Today. She is the best-selling author of 13 books, including her latest book, Capable: How to Teach Your Kids the Strengths, Skills, and Strategies to Build Resilience. Kara Powell, PhD, is the Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI), the founder of the TENx10 Collaboration, and the Chief of Leadership Formation at Fuller Theological Seminary. Named by Christianity Today as one of “50 Women to Watch,” Kara speaks regularly at national parenting and leadership conferences and is the author or co-author of a number of books, including Future-Focused Church; Faith Beyond Youth Group; 3 Big Questions That Change Every Teenager; Faith in an Anxious World; Growing With, Growing Young; The Sticky Faith Guide for Your Family; Can I Ask That?; Deep Justice Journeys; Essential Leadership; Deep Justice in a Broken World; Deep Ministry in a Shallow World; and the Good Sex Youth Ministry Curriculum. Kara lives in Pasadena, California, with her husband, Dave, who is a medical device engineer, and their teenage and young adult children, Nathan, Krista, and Jessica.
Chris McKenna is the founder of Protect Young Eyes and President of The Better Tech Project. A leading voice on digital safety, he testified before the U.S. Senate in 2019, sparking more than 20 hearings on online child protection. Under his leadership,
Protect Young Eyes earned the Dignity Defense Award and the Phase Alliance Child Safety Award. He co-authored the Child Device Protection Bill, now law in Utah and Alabama, requiring devices to activate content filters for minors. His debut book, Five Habits of the Tech-Ready Family, releases on June 16. Jean M. Twenge, Professor of Psychology at San Diego State University, is the author of more than 190 scientific publications and seven books, including 10 Rules for Raising Kids in a High-Tech World and Generations: The Real Differences between Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, Boomers and Silents—and What They Mean for America’s Future. She’s also the parent of three teen girls, which—in addition to conversations with thousands of parents at talks across the country—inspired her to write 10 Rules to help parents manage their kids’ technology use. She holds a BA and MA from the University of Chicago and a PhD from the University of Michigan. She writes the Generation Tech Substack.
Joel Thomas is the Director of North Point Ministries, providing point leadership for the North Point Ministries Directional Team. Joel began his ministry career as the first intern of North Point Ministries in 1998, then served in college, singles, and married adult ministries before becoming the Lead Pastor of North Point Community Church in 2011. In 2015, Joel and his family moved to Arizona, where Joel served as Senior Pastor of Mission Community Church for almost seven years before returning to the Atlanta area to rejoin the North Point Ministries team. Joel and his wife, Jenn, aspire to finish life together having experienced an abundance of faith, love, and fun along the way with their four amazing children: Talan, Gentry, Kason, and Nixon.
